Chris: Over 30 years as a development worker in Tyneside, Teesside, Sheffield and Rotherham, I learned skills in economic regeneration, community planning, networking, participatory methods and coaching. For 8 years to 2011, I was responsible for a £1 million per year grants fund for England, Scotland and Wales.

When made redundant, I chose self-employment and worked out my skills were in coaching for local marketing, how to build your presence locally. Then in 2016 I began “Telling Stories: Making Business”, an opportunity for business people to tell their stories and discuss them in-depth with other business people. This has helped me hone my storytelling skills and I have helped over 40 people so far.
